About this adventure

Operation Warm is a free coat-and-book giveaway for children, hosted at the Wickenburg Public Library by the Wickenburg Elks Lodge in partnership with the Town of Wickenburg. During the one-hour window on Tuesday evening, children ages 18 and under can stop by to receive a new coat and pick out a book of their own to keep. Coats and books are handed out while supplies last, so families with several children may want to come early in the hour rather than at the end. There is no cost, and the town's event page does not mention any sign-up or paperwork. For families heading into the colder desert mornings of winter, it is a practical stop, and children leave with something new to read as well as something warm to wear.
