Point State Park marks the first day of Bat Week 2026 with a drop-in nature table about bats. Park educators share what makes bats the world's only flying mammals and why these nocturnal animals matter, a fitting stop during Halloween weekend downtown. The table sits in the small grassy area behind the Fort Pitt Blockhouse and families can stop by at any point between 2:00 and 3:30 pm; it is free and needs no registration.
