About this adventure
A December ranger-led hike at Raccoon Creek State Park that pairs a long winter walk with the science of the snowflake. The route is about 5 miles over hilly terrain that can be wet and rocky, rated moderate by the park, so hikers need some experience. Participants are asked to dress for the weather, wear proper hiking footwear and bring water and repellent, and dogs are welcome on this hike. The program is free, but registration is required (it opens October 25), and the meeting location within the park is sent by email to those who register.
