About this adventure

A ranger-led hike on Raccoon Creek State Park's trails built around the wild turkey: along the way the group learns the story of the turkey and its place in the Pennsylvania outdoors. The hike covers about 5 miles of hilly, sometimes wet and rocky terrain, and the park classifies it as moderate, so some hiking experience is needed. Participants should dress for the weather, wear proper hiking footwear and bring water and repellent. Dogs are welcome. Registration is required and opens October 25; the meeting location inside the park is emailed to registered attendees.
