About this adventure

For two weeks in November, Jennings Environmental Education Center sets out a self-guided history walk with a printed guide and numbered stops. Visitors learn to 'read' rocks, streams and trees for clues about how people have shaped this land, and been shaped by it, from early settlement through industrial impacts, and how today's environment still carries those marks. Families can go at their own pace any time from sunrise to sunset; no registration is needed. Guides are picked up at the center entrance (outside and inside), or can be sent electronically by emailing jenningssp@pa.gov or calling 724-794-6011. The route includes some slopes and uneven terrain.
