About this adventure

Hipster Santa, a long-running Portland favorite known for his flannel, tattoos and laid-back style, has moved to Washington Square in Tigard for two Thursday evenings in December. He sets up in the mall's South Court near Din Tai Fung, where families can stop for a photo with a Santa who looks a little different from the usual red-suit version. The mall invites visitors to dress the part in their own flannel and show off their tattoos, which makes it a playful option for families who want a less traditional holiday picture, along with older kids who might be past the classic Santa visit. Washington Square advises booking a time slot in advance because Hipster Santa is always busy; reservations go through the same Santa booking site the mall uses for its regular Santa photos.
