About this adventure

Trick or Treat Main Street in downtown Tigard begins with a quieter hour set aside for young children and neurodivergent children. From 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., before the general crowd arrives, kids in costume can walk Main Street and collect treats from participating downtown businesses in a calmer, more relaxed setting, with less noise and fewer people than the busy second half of the event. Much of Main Street is closed to traffic, and volunteers and police watch the crosswalks, so families can move between storefronts at their own pace. The quiet hour suits toddlers, preschoolers, and children who find crowded, loud Halloween events overwhelming; siblings and parents come along. At 4:30 p.m. the event opens to all kids and families until 6 p.m. Park away from the closed section of Main Street and walk in, and bring a treat bag.
