About this adventure
Downtown Troutdale's businesses hand out treats to costumed children of all ages on Halloween afternoon, giving families an early, daylight start to the evening. Kids walk the shops of the historic downtown along the Historic Columbia River Highway with a treat bag from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Families who want to keep going can head to the Columbia Gorge Outlets, which host their own trick-or-treating from 5 to 7 p.m. The city presents it as a safe, fun community event; costumes are encouraged and no registration is needed.
