About this adventure
A drop-in volunteer morning on the Glendoveer Nature Trail in east Portland, where Metro's community education and stewardship team helps neighbors plant native plants and tend the nature patch near the trail's parking-lot entrance at NE 148th Avenue and Halsey Street. All tools and supplies are provided, and no registration is needed, so families can come for part of the three hours and leave when little helpers tire. Metro welcomes all ages, with minors accompanied by an adult; the work is rated moderate, so expect digging and kneeling in soil. Two dates are scheduled this fall, November 6 and November 20, both from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
