About this adventure
An evening owl walk at the Lloyd Center for the Environment in Dartmouth, led by research associate Jamie Bogart. As colder fall weather arrives, many animals get ready for winter dormancy, but the region's owls are just getting busy. Great Horned Owls start defending territories for winter nesting, Saw-whet Owls may pass through on fall migration, and Screech and Barred Owls also call out over territory. Bring a flashlight (a spotlight is a plus), a camera, binoculars and footwear for light walking on forest trails. The walk is limited to 20 people aged 10 and up. Pre-register online by 3 pm on the day of the walk.
