About this adventure

The Geminids are one of the year's best meteor showers, with bright, greenish meteors. In 2026 the crescent Moon sets at 8:30 pm, so the sky should be dark. Frosty Drew opens the Observatory and its telescopes at 6:30 pm for views of nebulae and galaxies. As meteors pick up, everyone moves outside to watch the peak. It will be cold: bring winter coats, hats, gloves and a blanket or reclining chair to lie back on. Anyone over four needs a ticket; buy online or at the gate until it sells out. Ticket holders may stay all night.
