About this adventure

The Bristol Santa House, a volunteer-run project of the James D. Rielly Foundation, opens its decorated house on High Street for the season on Saturday, November 21. It was created so that children and adults with disabilities and their families can visit Santa comfortably: the organizer describes an accessible, sensory-friendly environment for guests with autism, Down syndrome, mobility impairments and other developmental disabilities. Every family is welcome on public visiting days, with no appointment needed, and some dates are set aside for reserved private visits for guests with qualifying disabilities who cannot manage a regular public day. Children get unhurried time with Santa in a house decorated by volunteers; some guests need extra time, so the organizer asks for patience in line. Visits with Santa are always free. The full day-by-day 2026 calendar of public hours (black) and private appointment times (blue) is published as an image and printable PDF on the schedule page.
