About this adventure

Westerly's seventh annual Light Parade lights up High Street downtown on a Sunday evening in mid-December. Local businesses and organizations enter floats, walking groups and other 'glowing' entries covered in holiday lights, and families line the sidewalks to watch the procession after dark. A nighttime parade is a different kind of holiday treat for children, so arrive early for a curbside spot and dress warmly. The Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce makes the weather call at 1 PM on the day; the rain or blizzard date is the following Sunday, December 20.
