About this adventure

For one evening in early December, historic downtown Westerly and neighboring Pawcatuck line their sidewalks with glowing luminaria for the Ocean Community Chamber's 29th annual Holiday Stroll. Families can walk the candlelit streets, warm up with a complimentary cup of hot chocolate and a cookie, and browse local shops and artists' studios, many of which run special promotions for the night. It is an easygoing outing rather than a staged show, so children can set the pace; strollers work well on the downtown sidewalks. The stroll goes ahead rain or shine, so bundle up.
