About this adventure
On selected evenings from late November to the end of December, the 13-acre grounds of The Breakers become a half-mile walking path of hundreds of thousands of holiday lights with music and illuminated displays, and the same ticket lets you tour the mansion's holiday-decorated rooms. Entry is timed every half hour from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, and once inside you can stay until the house and grounds close at 8:00 pm. Children under 6 are free, which makes it a manageable early-evening outing with small children; dress for a winter walk. Tickets are for a specific date and time, non-refundable except for hazardous-weather cancellations; on-site sales happen only if the night is not sold out. Holiday treats are sold on the back terrace and at the Welcome Center.
