About this adventure

Applause! Cary Youth Theatre and Seed Art Share step out of the theater and into Downtown Cary Park for A Peter Rabbit Christmas, a site-specific holiday play that moves through the park itself. Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle and the other animals of Mr. McGregor's garden patch set out to find Peter Rabbit in a light-hearted Christmas mystery inspired by Beatrix Potter's stories, so it suits preschoolers and early readers who already know the characters. The production is suitable for all ages and the cast is drawn from the youth theatre program, which makes it a nice first theatre outing for children. There are four performances: Friday, Dec 4, 2026 at 5 pm and 7:30 pm, and Sunday, Dec 6 at 2 pm and 5 pm, each about an hour and a half. Tickets cost $5 and go on sale Nov 6. Because the show takes place outdoors in December, dress the family warmly and bring gloves.
