About this adventure
The North Carolina Symphony closes its Raleigh holiday season with A Candlelight Christmas, an all-new concert in which the full orchestra and the Raleigh Youth Choir perform beloved holiday favorites and Christmas melodies in a Meymandi Concert Hall glowing with candlelight. Hearing young singers from the Raleigh Youth Choir alongside a full professional orchestra can be inspiring for children who sing or play an instrument themselves, and the symphony invites concertgoers to come early to meet Santa before the performance. Four performances run on the Tuesday and Wednesday before Christmas, with 3 pm matinees that suit families during winter break. The symphony's age policy applies: every patron needs a ticket and must be able to sit quietly through the performance, and children 2 and under are not admitted to Pops-style concerts, so this is best for school-age children.
