About this adventure
Revista Latina NC's free Day of the Dead festival takes over Fayetteville Street and City Plaza in downtown Raleigh. Billed as being for the whole family, it has 31 performances on two stages — Aztec and Mexican folkloric dance, live music and the Desfile de Catrinas parade of costumed skeletons — plus a community ofrenda (altar) honoring loved ones, Mexican crafts, art, food trucks and children's activities. It is a lively way for children to learn about a living Mexican tradition; face-painted catrinas are everywhere, so expect crowds and music.
