About this adventure

The North Carolina Museum of Art's NCMA Loves Anime Bazaar returns for a winter edition that fills the East Building with vendors selling anime-inspired art and goods, plus festive activities, from 10 am to 8 pm on the Saturday before Christmas. It is a good outing for tweens and teens who are into anime, manga and Japanese street fashion: they can browse independent artists' work, shop for holiday gifts and meet the Triangle's anime community. Related free programs the same day include a designer talk on Ghost Bunny's Japanese street-fashion collection with a runway showing, a talk by Cottonbook's Lucy Kagan on fandom and self-expression through fashion, and an evening performance by the Triangle Choir Club followed by a PG-13 anime film (The Last Blossom) at 8 pm. General admission to the marketplace is free; families with younger children may prefer the daytime marketplace hours.
