Dance in the Gardens with Nickerson-Rossi Dance at Sunnylands

About this adventure

On Sunday morning, November 15, contemporary dancers from Nickerson-Rossi Dance perform a free, roaming dance piece in the Sunnylands gardens in Rancho Mirage, under the artistic direction of choreographer Michael Nickerson-Rossi. Instead of sitting in seats, the audience walks with the dancers as the performance moves along the garden paths, which keeps children engaged and makes it a relaxed introduction to modern dance for school-age kids and families. The performance lasts about an hour and 15 minutes outdoors. Viewers are asked to keep a respectful distance and avoid contact with the dancers. No reservations are needed, and parking and admission are free; wear comfortable walking shoes and sun protection. Outdoor programs may be changed or cancelled for rain, lightning or strong wind.
