The Sacramento Zoo runs a three-day Fall Camp over Thanksgiving break for children in grades 1 to 6. First and second graders study 'Raindrops and Rainforests' — how the rainy season and the water cycle support rich habitats — while grades 3 to 6 explore 'Seasonal Changes': migration, hibernation and winter coats. All groups get songs and crafts, interactive lessons and games, partial or full zoo tours and time with zookeepers. Camp runs 8:30 am to 4:00 pm with optional extended care until 5:00 pm. The fee is $250 for all three days; register online.
