About this adventure
During the Thanksgiving school break, The DoSeum runs a three-day day camp for 8- to 11-year-olds built around strategy, negotiation and leadership. Campers play strategy and resource-management board games, practise debating and deal-making, and on the last day stage an abridged Model United Nations in which they represent countries and try to "run the world." Between sessions they also get time in the children's museum's hands-on exhibits. Camp runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, so it covers the days most local districts are off before the holiday. The museum notes that several of its holiday camps have already sold out, so book early through the registration link; questions go to the camp coordinator by email.
