About this adventure
For four performances only, The Old Globe stages a fully produced Spanish-language version of its holiday musical Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, adapted and translated by Katya María Ojeda Iturbide and Luis Gerardo Villegas and directed by James Vásquez, the director of the English production. The same snowy Who-ville set fills the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage, and the familiar songs 'Santa for a Day', 'You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch' and 'Welcome, Christmas' are part of the show. It is a chance for Spanish-speaking families, bilingual kids and Spanish learners to share a holiday theater tradition in Spanish. Children under three are not admitted, and everyone aged three and up needs their own ticket and seat. The English-language run continues through December 31.
