Critter Encounters brings snakes, hissing cockroaches and tarantulas to the Children's Museum of Discovery the day before Halloween. The 90-minute program includes a live presentation, a meet-and-greet (depending on the animals' well-being), storytime and a special craft. No pre-registration; timed meet-and-greet tickets are handed out at check-in and are limited, so arrive early. Everyone who wants to touch the animals must fill out a hold-harmless form. Free with museum admission.
