MTRP trail guides lead a special afternoon walk from the Kumeyaay Lake Campground shade structure where participants photograph plants, insects and other living things with the free iNaturalist app, adding real biodiversity data for scientists studying Mission Trails. Arrive at 2 p.m. for help setting up the app; the walk itself starts at 2:30 p.m. and explores the east side of the park. A good citizen-science outing for tweens and teens with a phone.
