Project NexTech runs a one-hour Maker Space workshop at the San Marcos Library that introduces basic engineering through quick challenges: popsicle-stick bridges, spaghetti-and-marshmallow towers, wooden cars and more. It is aimed at school-age kids who like to build and test ideas, and meets in the library's Conference Room on a Saturday afternoon (1 p.m.). Space in the room is limited, so arrive on time.
