The Albany Library celebrates Día de los Muertos on November 1 with a two-hour afternoon for kids. Children can get their faces painted, follow a scavenger hunt through the library, make a craft, and add to the community ofrenda (altar) honoring loved ones who have passed. It is a gentle, hands-on way for school-age kids to learn about the holiday. ASL interpretation or captioning can be requested seven days ahead.
