San Bruno's 18th annual Día de los Muertos celebration at Centennial Plaza on San Mateo Avenue is free and family-friendly. The program features live mariachi music, Ballet Folklórico dancers, sugar skull decorating, calavera face painting, a bilingual storytime and a community ofrenda where families can honor loved ones. All ages are welcome, and it is a good daytime introduction to the holiday for young children. If it rains, the celebration moves to the San Bruno Senior Center.
