Hercules kicks off the holiday season with a free tree lighting at the Hercules Community Swim Center. The highlight is Santa lighting the tree, and he stays for photos afterward. The city asks attendees to bring canned food, gently used coats or unwrapped toys to help neighbors during the holidays. The 2026 city calendar lists the event on Sunday, December 6 at 3:30 p.m.; the events page says it typically runs 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
