A gentle lap around Lake Temescal in Oakland for little hikers and their grown-ups, led by Park District naturalists. Along the way families look for turtles basking on logs, ducks, and in winter maybe American White Pelicans resting on the lake. The group meets near the North parking lot off Broadway. Bring a snack; strollers are not recommended for most hikes in this series. The walk is drop-in with no registration needed, and an adult must participate. Expect a slow, stop-and-look pace suited to preschoolers.
