About this adventure

Rancho San Antonio is the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District's busiest preserve: 25-plus miles of trails across a 2,180-acre preserve and the adjoining 293-acre county park in the Cupertino and Los Altos foothills. With younger kids, the Wildcat Loop (about 3 miles) is a favorite because it loops back past Deer Hollow Farm, the working homestead farm inside the preserve; older hikers can climb toward Black Mountain. Horses are allowed on designated trails and bikes only on designated routes. Dogs are not allowed. Restrooms are at the county park parking area. Parking can be congested at busy times, so the district encourages biking, walking, ride apps or transit.
