About this adventure
A free monthly community bake at the Stroum Jewish Community Center on Mercer Island. Participants braid, shape and bake challah together and take their baked loaf home to share. The SJCC lists the bake under its Families as well as adult categories, and like all SJCC community events it is open to members and guests of all faiths and backgrounds. It runs from 1 to 3 p.m. on a Friday afternoon, so it suits families with younger children or flexible schedules. The window includes sessions on Nov. 6, Dec. 4 and Jan. 8; the SJCC series page lists the full schedule.
