About this adventure
After Everett, Olympic Ballet Theatre's Nutcracker moves to the Edmonds Center for the Arts for nine performances, Dec. 17–22. Clara's Christmas Eve journey includes Herr Drosselmeyer, the Spanish, Arabian, Chinese and Russian dancers, the waltzing flowers and Clara's pas de deux with her Nutcracker prince, set to Tchaikovsky. Regular performances run about 2 hours with one 15-minute intermission. The Dec. 17 and Dec. 18 10:30 a.m. shows are abridged 1 hour 15 minute matinees for groups of 20 or more ($12 per person, reservation form required) and include a behind-the-scenes demonstration of scenery, lighting, costumes and props.
