A New Year's Eve afternoon STEAM session for elementary kids at Tacoma Public Library's Kobetich Branch in Browns Point. Children decorate New Year's Eve party hats, pick a 'word of the year' for a goal or intention (growth, kindness, happiness), and then learn to write that word in binary code: a screen-free introduction to coding mixed with art. Part of the branch's weekly Up and Atom STEAM Days.
