About this adventure
Now in its 17th year, the Edwardsville Turkey Trot brings well over a thousand runners and walkers (a record 1,863 in 2025) to the SIUE campus on Thanksgiving morning. The Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under starts at 8:00 a.m. and every child finisher gets a medal; the 5K fun run and walk follows at 8:30, with an indoor award ceremony at 9:30. Organizers welcome every pace, from racers to families strolling the course. All proceeds go to Edwardsville Neighbors, a nonprofit that gives emergency financial help to District 7 families. Kids Fun Run registration is $20; the 5K is $35 until the price rises after November 8.
