About this adventure
Edwardsville's historic Wildey Theatre brings back its yearly audience-participation screening of the classic film White Christmas. Every ticket holder gets a free goodie bag of props to wave and use at cued moments in the movie, and preshow activities start in the theater 30 minutes before the film, so arrive early. Doors open an hour before showtime. With three shows on the first weekend of December (a Friday evening and two weekend matinees) it is easy to fit in, and the afternoon shows suit families with school-age kids who can sit through a two-hour musical. Student tickets for those under 16 cost a few dollars less than adult seats, and the screening is presented by the Friends of the Wildey volunteer group.
