About this adventure
An all-day guided 8.3-mile hike through the forests of Weldon Spring Conservation Area on the Lewis Trail. Missouri River overlooks give wide views of the floodplain and the shifting fall colors, from the bottomland forest to the oak, hickory and maple woods on the bluffs. Hikers bring water, lunch, binoculars for bird watching and a camera, and dress for the weather. MDC requires each hiker to register, and registrants must be at least 16, so it is for older teens hiking with adults.
