The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra's annual holiday concert at Powell Hall pairs Broadway star Norm Lewis with the orchestra and the St. Louis Symphony Chorus, conducted by chorus director Erin Freeman in her first turn leading the program. Expect a mix of traditional and contemporary holiday music — fireside ballads, carols and sleigh bells — and the SLSO hints that Santa Claus may stop by; the orchestra invites concertgoers to bring family and friends. Performances are Friday, Dec. 18, at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 19, at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 20, at 2 p.m. A separate performance takes place Thursday, Dec. 17, at Lindenwood University's J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts in St. Charles. Tickets are sold through the SLSO; prices are not listed on the event page and the repertoire is still to be announced.
