The Northwinds Symphonic Band's annual Hometown Holiday Concert at the James J. Eagan Center in Florissant is a Sunday-afternoon program pitched at the whole family. The band plays holiday favorites and some new pieces, including "Sleigh Ride," "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," "A Christmas Festival" and music from Disney's "Frozen." The concert begins at 3 p.m. on December 13 and runs about an hour and 45 minutes. Tickets go on sale October 29 at 9 a.m.: $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. A good fit for children who enjoy band music and can sit through a longer concert.
