About this adventure
A one-night touring dance show that retells The Nutcracker as a contemporary hip hop spectacle set to Tchaikovsky's music, billed by the Fox as a holiday mash-up for the whole family. Directed and choreographed by Jennifer Weber, it features a dozen dancers, a DJ and a violinist, with hip hop pioneer MC Kurtis Blow opening the show with a short set. Maria-Clara and the Nutcracker Prince still battle the mice and visit the land of sweets, but digital graffiti moves the story from 19th-century Germany to present-day New York City. Everyone needs a ticket regardless of age.
