The Alexandria Police Department, its public safety partners and Alexandria City Public Schools host a free trunk-or-treat at Police Headquarters. Children collect treats from decorated police, fire and emergency vehicles and get to meet local first responders up close. Costumes are encouraged, and the event is open to everyone, which makes it a good early-evening Halloween stop for families with young children.
