Illuminated boats cruise along the Potomac River waterfront in Old Town as part of Alexandria's annual holiday celebration. Families can watch from Waterfront Park and the riverfront for free. The city says public viewing information, participating-boat details and the final event schedule will be posted closer to the date, so check the listing before you go and dress for a cold evening by the water.
