The Reston Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting at Reston Town Center fills the day after Thanksgiving with one of Northern Virginia's best-known holiday traditions. The parade steps off at 11 a.m. with festive marching groups and live entertainment through the town center, and holiday activities continue through the afternoon. At 6 p.m. the town center lights its signature holiday tree. Families can catch the morning parade, the evening lighting, or both; the event is free to attend, and garage parking at Reston Town Center is free after 5 p.m. and on weekends per the site banner.
