About this adventure
The Fairfax Ballet Company dances The Nutcracker to Tchaikovsky's score played live by the full Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Christopher Zimmerman, in two late-afternoon performances at George Mason University's Center for the Arts. Expect a winter wonderland of dancing Snowflakes and Candy Canes, a Gingerbread House, battles between the heroic Toy Soldiers and mischievous Mice, the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Nutcracker Prince. The 4 p.m. start on the last weekend before Christmas suits families with younger children who would struggle with an evening curtain.
