On the morning of Alexandria's Scottish Walk Parade, Carlyle House Historic Park opens its museum gates for a free holiday open house. Families can step inside the 18th-century house before or after watching the clans, pipers and drummers march through Old Town, and family-friendly activities take place outside. Last entry into the house is at 2 p.m. It pairs naturally with the parade on the same morning.
