About this adventure

The American Festival Pops Orchestra, more than 60 professional musicians including George Mason University music faculty and players from U.S. Armed Forces ensembles, returns with its annual Holiday Pops: Songs of the Season, a festive program of seasonal favorites conducted by artistic director Peter Wilson. The concert is billed as appropriate for all ages and is captioned, and youth through grade 12 pay half price, which makes it an easy first orchestra concert for children. The Friday evening show is at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas; the same program repeats on Saturday, December 12 at 4 p.m. at the sister venue, the Center for the Arts in Fairfax. A pre-performance discussion starts an hour before the concert.
