About this adventure
Manassas Ballet Theatre brings its Nutcracker, billed as Northern Virginia's favorite, back to Merchant Hall at George Mason University's Hylton Performing Arts Center for ten performances in the week before Christmas. The story follows Clara and her magical Nutcracker through the Land of Snow to the celebration in the Land of the Sugar Plum Fairy, with full scenery and costumes, an international cast of dancers and Tchaikovsky's score played live by the Manassas Ballet Theatre Orchestra. Evening shows start at 7:30 p.m. and matinees at 3 p.m.; the Monday–Wednesday matinees on December 21–23 fall in the first days of winter break.
