Vienna's Church Street Holiday Stroll fills the historic block around the Freeman Store and Museum on the Monday after Thanksgiving. Families can visit Santa, hear live holiday music from local groups, watch Mayor Linda Colbert light the town tree, and warm up or toast a marshmallow at fire pits. Historic sites along the street open their doors, including the Freeman Store and Museum, the Little Library, the caboose, the train station and the old chapel, and Church Street businesses stay open. Children can decorate a gingerbread ornament at stations along the street and enter it for judging at the Explore Vienna VA tent by 7:10 p.m.; winners in several age categories are announced at 7:30 p.m. Finish with a family photo at the gingerbread house arch near Lawyers Road.
