The Leonard "Chick" Armstrong Recreation Center (formerly Cora Kelly Recreation Center) hosts a midday holiday party for families. Children build gingerbread houses, make crafts, decorate cookies, play games, watch a holiday movie and visit with Santa, so bring a camera for photos. It is open to all ages, costs $7, and registration is online through the city. The ninety-minute party fits neatly into a Saturday before naps.
