About this adventure
A virtual-reality experience at the National Museum of American History that takes visitors back to 1776. Wearing a VR headset, participants join the story of the gunboat Philadelphia and discover how thousands of Patriots worked together to thwart a British invasion during the Revolution — an immersive way for school-age children and teens to step into a history lesson. It runs daily during the listed hours on the museum's third floor (3 East), costs $10 per person, and is listed under Kids & Families. The feed does not give a minimum age for the headsets, so check at the museum before you go, and allow time to see the rest of the museum's free exhibitions.
